Authorities are worried about an increase in the number of dead.

The Hurricane Dorian, the largest hurricane that has hit the area so far, caused great damage in the Bahamas, with thousands of people becoming homeless.

The Bahamas is one of the American countries. It is located off the southeast coast of the US state of Florida, north of Cuba and Hispaniola (Haiti and the Dominican Republic).
